Quilt Unveiling

Downtown Greeneville now has a new stop on the Quilt Trail. President Andrew Johnson, portrayed by Daniel Luther, right, unveiled a quilt square on the side of James-Ben: Studio & Gallery at Church and Main streets Thursday morning before a crowd of history, art and tourism enthusiasts. The quilt square is patterned after the quilt on the foot of the bed in Andrew Johnson’s bedroom at the Andrew Johnson Homestead. The quilt square is the 81st displayed in Northeast Tennessee as part of the Quilt Trail of the Appalachian Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council.
